because i'm black

for those of you who don't understand twitter, there is a thing called "trending topics". these are random ideas and phrases that catch on and becoming "trending" as more people tweet them. the word or phrase is preceded by a #. for instance #merrychristmas or #iloveyoubecause are ones i've seen. people then tweet these topics and add their own words. today's trending topic is #becauseimblack  which i find to be interesting since it was just MLK day. here are some tweets i saw that struck me:
