My friends in Chicago have a tradition of listing the top events of the year for their birthday. I love reading it and thought I would make my own for this past year! These are not in any particular order :)
1. Getting a new family dog, PUNX!! My heart was stolen the minute he arrived.
2. Renting my first car
3. Getting an internship at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute (SCBI) doing Conservation Education
3. Meeting friends from all over the world at SCBI (New Zealand, Mexico, Brazil)
4. Celebrating the birth of my cousin Emily's twin girls who were premature. Praising God they are now happy and healthy!
5. Meeting the Go: Urban (now Dwell) team at Summit RDU. I thank God every time I remember you and pray someday God will lead me back to be a part of your team.
6. Becoming a part of the Rudolph's small group and gleaning pearls of wisdom from them
7. Going to Defy Gravity with my small group before I left for SCBI and jumping on a room full of trampolines and not acting my age
8. Hosting the SuperBowl at my house with my whole small group and Go: Urban team
9. Getting a job at SeaWorld!
10. Driving with Dana from Raleigh to Orlando to my new house...that's true friendship right there!
11. Going to Washington D.C. for the cherry blossom festival and to explore the SI museums and zoo on my days off at SCBI
12. Meeting the Jesus Film staff and them welcoming me into their group. Y'all are an answered prayer!
13. Getting up at 2am to drive to a Chick-fil-A opening and then not getting selected, but spent the day at the beach instead with great friends (and I saw dolphins!)
14. Going to Discovery Cove with Mom and Dad and relaxing the day away with snorkeling, swimming, and all-you-can-eat food and drinks
15. Going to Universal Studios with friends from SeaWorld on our days off
16. Having a cupcake bar and decorating contest for my 26th birthday
17. Garage sale-ing with Katie
18. The weddings and engagements of my Owen Girls: Courtney, Jenique, Paige, Natalie, Mary Knox, and Ginny. I am so thankful for each of you!
19. Celebrating the birth of the first OGBS baby....Brooke Grayson!
20. Helping with the C2S2 Conference and meeting amazing conservationists from all over the world
21. Moving into an awesome house with 3 amazing roommates. A provision from the hand of God.
22. Going to the beach at Melbourne for Labor Day and having a cookout at the Shaffer's
23. Being selected for a special project and working with an awesome team developing new ideas for the Wild Arctic (and hanging out with belugas everyday) #exploreyourworld
24. Having Steph, Morgan, and Cariann move in behind us and having neighbors who drop by just because
25. Celebrating my birthday at Disney with fireworks and friends :)
