transitioning

it's been about 3 weeks since I first got here and things are slowly starting to adjust. my roommate and I have all our furniture and are putting the place together slowly. hopefully people can come over and hang out soon! i've been figuring out the ins and outs of my neighborhood- like which roads have the least pot holes and stop signs and where to park for free. i usually work 10-6 each day and thursday i stay until 9 for teen night. we have our S.A.Y. Yes! after school program on tuesdays and wednesdays and have different volunteers each day. on wednesdays we have dinner with the kids so we've been working on our table manners.
our curriculum this month is on choices and our bible verse is james 1:5 "if any of you lacks wisdom he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him"
we have bible stories each week and different memory verse games (which is really helping me learn the scripture, too!). we are seeing some of the kids come out of their shells---which also means more talking and playing when they shouldn't be!
please pray for: amari, keon, dayvon, rebekah, anna, gloria, azoria, destiny, markayle, kashaun, and keaira. pray that they would trust Jesus to be their Savior and also that they would grow in their knowledge of God.
