newest scarf

finally finished my scarf- an eggplant color yarn from loops & threads charisma yarn. it's kinda scratchy so i'll pick something different for next go-round. i think i will attempt the "faggot stitch" which looks like this: 

i wanted to do a striped scarf, but didn't want multiple colors. i settled for a horizontal ribbing. i tried doing a border around the edge to prevent curling,but it didn't work out too well. next time i will have to do a seed stitch. 

in other news, today i went downtown with sarah to get our hair cut and i rode the L and the metra all by myself and got back home safely. i'm really proud of myself and feel super urban. i think i could stay here awhile...
